

Qualitative Data Analysis Workshop

CALL FOR SUBMISSION
The QDA Workshop is a biennial hands-on workshop focusing on the analysis, interpretation, and writing of qualitative consumer research. The QDA takes place on the days immediately before a Consumer Culture Theory (CCT) Conference. Working with senior mentors, mentees will tackle issues such as interpretive problems, iterative cycling from data/literature/theory, and moving from findings to theoretical contributions. Doctoral students and early career researchers (up to 3 years post-PhD) are invited to apply.

Application Process:
Applicants must submit a 5-page (maximum) synopsis of one research project, describing its research question/s, the type of data collected, and any preliminary analysis to: QDAworkshop@gmail.com

Application Deadline: December 22, 2025
Registration fee: USD 200 (includes participation in panels, mentorship sessions, and meals; doesn’t include accommodation).
Application Result: February 9, 2026​
Selected applicants will be required to email a portion of their data set (20 single-space pages maximum) to assigned faculty mentors. An overview summary (research question(s), conversation joining, preliminary analysis) limited to one paragraph, should accompany the data set. The deadline for submitting these materials is May 25, 2026.
