Overview

All submissions for the Consumer Culture Theory Conference 2026 will be managed through Oxford Abstracts, our online submission and review platform. Authors are required to create an account or log in to their existing Oxford Abstracts profile to submit their work.

We welcome submissions across all tracks listed in the Call for Papers (except Poetry). It is important that authors carefully check which track they are submitting to and follow the specific guidelines outlined for that track. Incomplete or non-anonymized files will not be reviewed.

Submission
Steps

Step 1: Review the Call for Papers and Track-Specific Guidelines

Before submitting, read the Call for Papers carefully. Each track has distinct focus areas, submission formats, and length limits, so please consult the specific guidelines before preparing your document. Each submission may only be submitted to one track.

Step 2: Prepare Your Submission

Anonymization: Remove all identifying information (author names, institutional affiliations, acknowledgements, and file). Submissions containing identifiable information will be returned without review.
File format: Submit as Microsoft Word or PDF files only.
Format/Length: Refer to the track specific requirements.

Step 3: Sign-up/Log in to Oxford Abstracts

Access the submission portal at https://app.oxfordabstracts.com/stages/79254/submitter
You will be required to sign up for an account if you do not already have one.

Step 4: Complete the Submission Form

Provide the following information:

Title of your submission
Author(s) details (Name, affiliation, email)
Track selection
Abstract
Upload manuscript file
Indicate word count
Upload supplementary file (only for Special Sessions track)
Indicate manuscript level (only for Working Papers track)

Step 6: Confirm the Author Declarations

Before submitting, all authors must confirm the following:

Original work
Ethics declarations
Authors Approval
Conference Attendance

Step 7: Review and Submit

Carefully review all information before clicking “Submit.”
You will receive an automated confirmation email from Oxford Abstracts. If you do not receive it within 10 minutes, please check your spam folder or contact the conference team at cctc.kyoto@gmail.com
