Working Papers

Track Chairs

Outline

The objective of this track is to develop and refine papers that are ongoing, unfinished, or at risk of being set aside. Both conceptual and empirical papers are welcome, provided they represent work-in-progress at various stages of development, whether in conceptualization, data collection, or analysis. Authors should be seeking constructive feedback and early insights from peers to strengthen their projects.

We invite submissions at any of the following stages:

  • Level 1 (Early stage): Conceptualization with preliminary data and/or analysis (if empirical)

  • Level 2 (Later stage): Data collection and/or analysis underway, with a clearer theoretical/methodological direction, or a more developed conceptual contribution (in the case of conceptual papers)

The spirit of this session is to provide a supportive, dialogical space for nurturing innovative and thought-provoking work that has the potential to open up new questions for CCT scholarship. Presenters are encouraged to explicitly share with their audience the kind of feedback they are seeking. For example:

  • What challenges are they currently facing in their project?

  • What kind of input or critique would best help them prepare the paper for formal submission?
